Knowledge & Skills Combo Package

Includes: Washington State DOL Knowledge Exam and Skills Exam
Exam Format: Electronic testing & official road test in CDX school vehicle

This package combines both the Knowledge Exam and Driving Skills Exam into one convenient service for students working toward their Washington State driver licensing requirements.

Knowledge Exam Details

• Electronic exam only (no paper exams)
• 40 multiple-choice questions
• 1 hour to complete
• Passing score: 80% or higher
• Students must bring their own device (cell phone, tablet, or laptop)
• Valid identification required (WA permit/ID, passport, or driver license)
• A valid Washington Driver License Number (WDL/DLN) is required prior to testing
• Students must have access to their DOL Licensing Express account on the day of the exam
• Exam starts promptly at the scheduled time; late arrivals will not be admitted

Skills Exam Details

• 30-minute official Washington State DOL driving skills exam
• Conducted in the CDX school vehicle
• Arm signal demonstration required prior to testing
• Must have passed the Knowledge Exam before Skills Exam eligibility
• Valid identification required on test day

Students are encouraged to review DOL Skills Exam videos prior to testing to understand expectations.

Important Policies

• Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for check-in and account login
• Late arrivals, missed appointments, or incomplete documentation will result in forfeited exams and fees
• No refunds for missed or failed exams — no exceptions
• Phone lines will be turned off during exams to maintain a quiet testing environment
• Re-testing is permitted for an additional fee
